Protecting Our Brand with K12 Licensing

Leander ISD has partnered with K12 Licensing to jointly administer the district’s Trademark and Licensing Program.  Through K12 Licensing, LISD is better able to monitor and control the use of its brand while generating revenue from the sale of licensed merchandise.

Vendors interested in LISD high school brands are required to obtain the appropriate license through K12.  All six LISD high schools (Cedar Park HS, Glenn HS, Leander HS, Rouse HS, Vandegrift HS, and Vista Ridge HS) are protected under the T&L program. Vendors are required to submit an application and product samples as part of the licensing process.  Once approved, vendors will be able to purchase the NFHS hangtag for use on products sold at retail.  (Approved LISD Booster Clubs, PTA’s and other internal district programs are exempt from the licensing process.)

If you are interested in obtaining a license:

As a K12 Licensing partner, all LISD high school retail merchandise will carry the official NFHS hangtag. It lets fans know they are buying quality merchandise approved by the district and sourced from ethical manufacturers. It also helps protect against unauthorized use of the trademark while assuring fans they are supporting LISD and their high school with their purchase.

K12 Licensing is an experienced licensing agency. They’re the oldest and largest high school licensing firm, with 5,800 schools and 30 state associations trusting their expertise. Selected by the National Federation of State High School Associations as their official licensing agency, K12 pays back millions of royalty dollars to schools each year.
