Student Transfer Information

For the 2020–21 school year, previously approved intra-district transfer students will no longer need to re-apply every year when remaining at the same campus. If the previously approved student is changing campuses – from elementary to middle or middle to high school – they will need to apply and pay the application fee if their desired campus is different from their zoned campus.

The information below, a detailed breakdown by grade level with notable exceptions, applies only to approved Leander ISD transfer students for the 2019–20 school year. Students looking to transfer for the first time in the 2020–21 school year will need to follow processes outlined on the Student Transfer page of the district website.
